Dictator CMS

Specifying Your Own Photo Tags

Dictator also lets you specify your own name tags for referring to photos in your body copy or sidebar. When editing a page (and viewing the photos tab), you will see a ‘tag’ entry field for each photo. Within this entry field, type a word to describe the photo. For instance, if I uploaded photos of my cats, I’d give them the tags “willy”, “sasha”, and “max”.

After giving each of your photos a tag, you now have the capability to refer to them from within your body copy. Click back to the content tab and type your tags where you want the photos to appear. Like all Dictator tags, these should be surrounded by curly brackets like {this}. Using the example above, we’d have {willy}, {sasha}, and {max}. You may type these anywhere in your body copy (or side bar) and they will automatically be replaced the the associated photo.

Note: You may give more than one photo the same tag, and they will be displayed together.
