Placing Attachments at Different Locations in Your Page
In some cases, you may not want all of your file attachments to appear together in the same place on your page.
For example, you may want one attachment placed after a certain paragraph of text, another attachment at the bottom of your page, and another attachment in the side bar. Dictator provides this capability with the “Tag” field for each attachment. The following instructions assume you have already attached one or more more files to your page.
Click the “attach” tab for the page you are editing.
Note the blank “Tag” field for each attachment. Type a short word to refer to this attachment. What word you use is entirely up to you, but it should contain only letters and numbers—no spaces or punctuation. For example, an attachment I’ve labeled “Branding Guide” could have a tag like “brandguide”. For an expense report, you might use “expense” or “report”. It does not matter what you use, only that it should be a unique word you will use to refer to the attachment.
Click on the “content” tab to edit the text on your page. Locate the position(s) where you would like to place each of the attachments you just assigned a tag to. Type the tag surrounded by curly braces where you would like the attachment to appear. Using the same examples as above, you would type {brandguide} and {expense} to refer to these attachments. You can type these anywhere in your body copy or side bar, and we recommend placing it on a blank line for ease of use.
Note: If you assign the same name “Tag” to more than one attachment, then all attachments with this “Tag” will appear together as a group.
