Attaching File(s) to a Page

  1. Edit a page and click on it’s “attach” tab.

  2. Click the link that says Upload New Attachments.

  3. Click the “Browse” (Windows) or “Choose File” (Mac) buttons and select the file(s) from your local computer that you would like to attach.

  4. After selecting the file(s) you want to upload, click “Save Changes”. Depending on how large the files are (and how fast your internet connection is) it may take a few seconds to several minutes to complete the upload.

  5. After the upload has finished, you will see the files that you attached. Each file attachment has two blank entry fields: “Tag” and “Label”. Leave “Tag” blank for now. Under “Label” type a short phrase to describe the file. For instance “2005 Expense Report” or “Sales Presentation”, etc. If you leave the “Label” blank, a generic phrase (like “View Document”) will be assigned automatically (which may not be desirable).

  6. Click on the “content” tab and locate a position in your body copy (or side bar) where you would like the attachments to appear. Type “{attach}” or “{attachments}” where you want links to the file attachment(s) to appear in your page. If you skip this step, then the file attachments will appear in the default placement defined by the designer. If a default placement was not defined, your attachments will not appear until you complete this step.

  7. Click “Save Changes”.

  8. Click the “view” button/tab to see the results on your web site. You should see the file(s) you attached.
