Channels Tab

Channels are used for two purposes in Dictator:

  1. To create a new group of pages, outside of the regular tree structure of your site. Example: a “What’s New” section on your homepage.

  2. To collect a group of pages for publishing to an RSS feed.

This portion of the manual details how to add your page to an existing channel. For information on how to create and edit channels, please see the Channels section of this manual.

Add Your Page to a Channel

  1. Click the channels tab for the page that you are editing.

  2. From the attach to channel pulldown box, select the desired channel. It will appear immediately. You may repeat the process to continue adding your page to more channels if needed.

  3. Click save changes.

Remove Your Page From a Channel

  1. Click the channels tab for the page that you are editing.

  2. You will see a list of channels that the page is attached to. Click the trash can icon (dictator/images/5/icon_trash.jpg) for any of the channels you would like to remove this page from.

  3. Click save changes.
