Making a Page Automatically Redirect to Another
In some cases, you may find that you want to create a page for the sole purpose of redirecting to another.
To do this, create the new page in Dictator, but type the URL you want it to redirect to in the page’s headline field (found on each page’s content tab). Dictator will recognize that you have specified a URL here when it starts with “http://”, “index.php”, or “?” in the headline field.
This feature is especially handy when you want Dictator to manage links for other sites, or perhaps other pages (outside Dictator) on your own site.
As an example, you might be running a Forum software and want a link to your Forum in your main navigation. In Dictator, you’d create a new page called “Forum” and put the Forum’s URL in the headline field. Save changes, and now Dictator is managing a link to your forum seamlessly with your other navigation.
